
Oh my god if yesterday is something to go by then we have a lot of work to do as the news just keeps flooding in so here is the first news blast of the day that will include details of Microsofts, EA and Ubisofts conference and keep an eye out for a special news story on Left 4 Dead 2 with details of the game itself.
However this is a news blast so lets get started.
- Microsoft had the first press conference and didn't dissapoint they had a lot of stuff to show off including some fantastic games.
The games that were shown off include Crackdown 2, ABP, Modern Warfare 2, Alan Wake, Left 4 Dead 2, Forza Motorsport 2, Halo ODST, Halo Reach and many more. - It wasn't just game announcments they also detailed a few upgrades to the dashboard that will include Twitter and Facebook so you can keep an eye out on what your friends are talking about and you will also be able to view photos etc.
- Details were also released on the new Sky deal for everybody in the UK and the upgrade of Netflix in the US that will see streaming of tv programmes, football etc for the UK with Sky and 1080p video and instant streaming of movies from Netflix in the US.
- They also said that there video marketplace will be getting a new update and name change, from this Autmn it will be called Zune HD and will give you even more choice of movies to watch and you'll be able to stream them in full HD (thats 1080p for people who don't know)
- Still sticking with Microsoft they also showed off there new motion controlled camera that will fully detect movement amongst other things.
Along side the camera was project Natal that will us the motion sensing to enable you to control a car without using a pad and also be able to paint by just using simple movements of your arm. - There was also one other game showed off that will use the camera and that was the really scary but interesting Mylo, the game will see you interacting with a virtual kid in ways that have never been seen in videogames.
Being able to fully talk to him with him understanding you and by also handing him notes and pictures makes this piece of software so lifelike that it scared the pants off me during the press conference. - It wasn't just all about Microsoft yesterday EA also showed off some new games in the form of Mass Effect 2, the first fully trailer for the new knights of the old republic, there was also the usual updates to FIFA and Madden etc, also on show was a new mixed martial arts game and finally they announced that they will be releasing RealTime World game APB for them.
- Ubisoft also wanted a bit of the limelight with there own press conference where they showed of the new raving rabbids game in the form of Rabbids go Home, there was also a Wii Fitt clone in the shape of Your Shape that will use the new Wii camera (More at there press conference on this), Spielberg was in 2 places not only did he show up at Microsofts press conference he also showed off the new TinTin game at Ubisofts, Red Steel 2 was also shown off using the Wii motion plus and finally a release date for Assassin's Creed 2 was announced with the 17th November being the drop date for it.
- In quick news the Gears of War 2 expansion Dark Corners will now only cost you 1200 MSP instead of 1600 and that the all Fronts Collection will also be avaliable on the market place as wella sin the shops, the expansion is out on the 28th July.
- It seems that Metal Gear Solid Rising is not just for the 360 the game will also be coming out for the PC and PS3 as well.
The announcement of the 360 version was made at there press conference by Hideo Kojima himself but it was unknown if it would make the jump to the PS3 as well, but now it seems that it is. - One other quick piece of news that wasn't a part of the Microsoft press conference was that they plan to release fully game titles for you to download from the Marketplace.
Entitled Games on Demand the service will enable you to download fully Xbox 360 titles, the first batch of games include Call of Duty 2, Oblivion, Dirt, Crackdown and Sonic the hedgehog.
The price of these has yet to be announced but as soon as we know you will know.
