Oh yes people it's getting very close to the big big event where we will find out what each one of the big 3 will show us and what we can expect in the year to come.
As always we have our predictions on what we think might be shown at each press conference and this year is no different, so over the next few days get ready to find out what we think.
To kick things off we have our thoughts on what Microsoft will be showing at there press conference, seeing as they have the first press conference on the 1st June at 6:30pm (UK time) it seems fitting to start off with them
So without further ado here is out predictions for Microsoft at this years E3.
- Rumors have been going around the Internet for the last few months now stating that the big M is going to release some kind of motion controller however it might be that they have two to show us, the first one coming in the form of a new camera that fully detects motion much better than has seen before and the second being the motion wand that has been rumored now for more than a year. We know that there will be some kind of announcement to do with motion sensing but it's still unknown for now if it will be both that have been mentioned.
- Over the last few weeks a weird rumor has been floating around that Microsoft is ready to show off the successor to the Zune that will come in the form of the Zune X and will not just be a standard music device instead it will combine both mobile phone and handheld gaming device. Now it looks like this might have some weight behind seeing as Microsoft will not want Apple to take all of the glory for the fantastic IPhone and they will want a piece of the pie itself, however seeing as the Zune has never done that well it might just be a good idea for Microsoft to leave the music/mobile/portable gaming device alone and concentrate on what they do best.
- A few moths ago a rumor was released that Microsoft will be looking to add another subscription level to Xbox Live in the form of VIP thus making it a three tier subscription choice. The VIP level looks to add exclusive access to Betas, Demos, Trailers and other extra bits and bobs before anybody else (even gold subscribers). Whether they will fully announce this remains to be seen but there is a chance that this will happen.
- As usual they will also show off some new feature added to the dashboard as they have stated that once a year there will be some big add-ons to the dashboard but it is unknown what they might be.
- Now we know that they will show off a shit load of games but what can we expect well we know that Halo ODST will show it's face along side, 2ND GTA DLC, Alan Wake, APB, Forza 3, new Lionhead game, Lips 2, a successor to Your in the Movies and a lot of Arcade games including South Park, the original Call of Duty and this new easy games devleopment tool that was shown off at this years GDC
- The biggest gaming rumor though is that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be also making an appearance on the 360 but it will also come with the add-on Oxide pack that will add new features like the previous director cuts of MGS games. The chance of this happening though are a bit 50/50 at the moment because Hideo Kojima has stated that MGS4 Will never fit on to a standard disc as there is a lot of game data there however there is a chance that it could come on more than 1 disc thus solving that storage problem.
Well that's it more our predictions for Microsoft i would like to thank James, Greg and Dan for helping me out with a few suggestions and we will have Nintendo predictions tomorrow.
Don't forget that Microsoft press conference will be on June the 1st at 6:30 pm (UK time) and that we will be covering it on our twitter account so check that out.
